Dear fellow angler:

 

The New Year is here and hopefully 08’ finds each of you and your family in good health and excited about the upcoming White River Bassmasters tournament season.  Last year was a big success and 2008 looks to be even bigger and better!  The dates and locations for the upcoming season have been set and are listed at the end of this letter.  The dates and locations will offer a good variety and will make the coveted AOY crown quite an accomplishment in 2008.  The Tournament Committee considered the great amount of input from club members when working out the dates and locations.  A few key points addressed while setting the schedule were as follows:

 

  1. An earlier end to the season. 

  2. Less time between the last regular season tournament and the Classic.

  3. Some new locations with the traditional stops.

  4. Avoid all holiday weekends.

The first club meeting will be Thursday, February 21st at the Carousel II at  6:30 P.M.  Also, stay tuned for an upcoming announcement of a 3 or 4 event team tournament trail to be held this Fall.  This trail is being designed to better organize the open tournaments typically held then and allow for more advanced scheduling of the derbies.  Remember to visit the club website at www.whiteriverbassmasters.com often for news updates and other announcements.  The website is the most reliable tool we have to ensure all members are up to date on club issues and/or activities.  Be sure to tell others about it too!
