Dear Fellow Angler,

The 2007 season is over.  There are a couple of other events remaining this year however.  These events are listed below:

---The 1^st Annual WRB vs. SBC Kick Your A$$  tournament will be held Saturday November 3 on the Arkansas River @ Pendleton 

---Also coming up is the WRB annual two day Classic.  This year the event will be held September 8^th and 9^th and the pre-tournament vote for locations and cookout will be held the evening of September 7^th.  Be sure to mark this derby on your calendar as it is usually a fun event.  After the conclusion of the Classic, look for an end of the year club newsletter with a copy of the 2007 stats/records and an updated copy of the overall club stats/records to come via snail mail.  This end of the year summary is traditionally mailed the week following the Classic. 

---The Kentucky Derby has also been re-scheduled for a date and a site to be later determined. 

---There has been talk among some of the club members concerning the possibility of holding a couple of open events throughout the Fall.  Keep a check on the club website for announcements of any possible tournaments.  Also, if you plan to put together an open tournament, please remember that the club website is a great place to advertise the event.  Many folks are busy in the coming months w/ hunting season, but there are always a handful of die-hards that will show up for a derby.  The Fall would be a great time to hold a couple of open tournaments at locations that could be future club tournament sites.
